Fedora 15 - Open RAR files

login as root
su -

yum install unrar

list the files in rar
unrar l file.rar

extract the files
unrarx file.rar

    hi Jerome, by default on fc15 there is no unrar rpm. what repository are you using?

    rpmfusion-free-rawhide rpmfusion-nonfree-rawhide


    try this..
    rpm -Uvh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-rawhide.noarch.rpm http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora/rpmfusion-nonfree-release-rawhide.noarch.rpm

    yum update

    yum install unrar


    or simply download the rpm from http://dag.wieers.com/packages/unrar/
